Paris, October 27, 2025: Singer Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appear to have confirmed weeks of speculation about their relationship after being photographed holding hands at an event in Paris over the weekend.
Celebrity outlet TMZ published photos and video footage showing the pair walking hand-in-hand before getting into a car, with Trudeau seen assisting the pop star into the back seat as photographers called out to them.
While neither Perry nor Trudeau have publicly commented on their relationship, rumours have intensified in recent weeks after the two were spotted together on multiple occasions. Trudeau was also seen attending Perry’s concert earlier this year, further fuelling speculation about a growing connection between the two.
Their appearance in Paris coincided with Perry’s 41st birthday, seemingly marking their first public outing as a couple.
Requests for comment from Perry’s representatives and Trudeau’s Liberal Party office went unanswered, according to the BBC.
During a recent London tour stop, Perry appeared to hint at her relationship status. When a fan proposed to her during the show, the singer quipped, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago,”—a comment that came just days after early photos of her with Trudeau surfaced online.
Perry was previously in a long-term relationship with actor Orlando Bloom. The pair, who share a daughter, ended their decade-long relationship earlier this year.
Trudeau, who led Canada from 2015 to 2025, was previously married to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. The couple separated in 2023 after 18 years of marriage and share three children.
