Islamabad, October 19,2024- A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) delegation, including Asad Qaiser, Ali Zafar, Hamid Raza, and PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, met PTI founder Imran Khan today at Adiala Jail. Prior to this, the PTI team had visited Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence for consultations on the constitutional amendment. PTI leaders expressed concerns over being denied permission to meet Imran Khan in jail, but later, a five-member delegation was granted access.

Speaking to the media at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, Islamabad, after the meeting, Gohar Khan stated that the 45-minute meeting with Imran Khan went well, and the former prime minister is in good health. However, he revealed that Khan has been without electricity in his cell for five days and has not received any newspapers for two weeks. Khan remains in high spirits but has been uninformed about the current political situation and his sister’s arrest.

Gohar further shared that Imran Khan praised Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s role and emphasized continued consultation. PTI will not vote on the constitutional amendment without Imran Khan’s input, as PTI remains the largest party in parliament, and Maulana Fazlur Rehman is expected to support them.

Asad Qaiser condemned recent kidnappings and coercion in legislative processes, expressing confidence that no PTI member will defect, warning that any betrayal would be a disservice to the nation and the PTI founder.
