Bajaur, November 3, 2025: Security forces on Monday killed a high-profile terrorist linked to multiple assassinations of political and law enforcement figures during an intelligence-based operation in Bajaur, officials confirmed.

According to security sources, the terrorist — identified as Ziauddin alias Ibrahim Idris — was eliminated in the Kausar area of Bajaur. He was a key member of the ISIS Khorasan (ISIS-K) network and had been involved in several high-profile attacks and killings across the region.

Officials said Ziauddin was responsible for the assassinations of PTI leader Rehan Zeb, ANP’s Maulana Khan Zeb, the Deputy Commissioner of Naogai, and several JUI members, in addition to multiple police officials. He was considered one of the most wanted militants operating in the tribal belt.

Authorities revealed that Ziauddin had previously been imprisoned in Afghanistan but was released after the Taliban takeover of Kabul. He later infiltrated into Pakistan in 2023, where he resumed militant activities.

Security officials described his death as a major blow to ISIS-K’s operational network in Pakistan’s northwestern border areas. “Security forces remain committed to eradicating terrorism and restoring lasting peace in the region,” a statement said.

Meanwhile, in Karachi, Sindh Rangers arrested three most wanted terrorists belonging to the outlawed group Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Kunwari Colony near Manghopir Road.

A Rangers spokesperson identified the arrested suspects as Zaidullah alias Zaido, Noor Zada, and Hazrat Usman — all close associates of the group’s leader Shams al-Qayyum, also known by the aliases Zawil and Zafran.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to assisting their leader by providing phone numbers of local residents for extortion calls. They also admitted involvement in extortion, land grabbing, and other criminal activities, the spokesperson said.

Authorities further disclosed that the brothers of Noor Zada and Hazrat Usman were previously killed while working for the same militant group, while Zaidullah was already wanted by the Excise Korangi Police and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in several cases.

The Rangers handed over the suspects to the police for further investigation and legal proceedings.
