Islamabad, November 5, 2025: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is fast-tracking multiple large-scale infrastructure projects as part of its vision to transform Islamabad into a “model city,” CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa said on Wednesday.
Chairing a performance review meeting at the CDA headquarters, Randhawa examined the progress of ongoing development schemes and emphasized the authority’s commitment to efficiency, transparency, and high-quality standards.
He noted that significant headway had been made on the T-Chowk Flyover and Shaheen Chowk Underpass projects, both designed to modernize the capital’s road network and ensure signal-free, smoother travel for commuters.
Randhawa also highlighted the accelerated development of residential sectors to address Islamabad’s growing housing demand. “All necessary resources are being utilized to upgrade the city’s infrastructure to modern standards,” Randhawa said, stressing that quality and transparency would not be compromised at any stage.
He directed that all projects be completed within their designated timelines and called for stronger monitoring mechanisms to promptly resolve emerging challenges. The chairman further announced that the CDA would continue regular progress reviews to ensure the timely and effective completion of all development initiatives.
