Islamabad, November 13,2025: Security agencies have arrested the handler and facilitator involved in the recent suicide attack on the Judicial Complex in the federal capital, officials confirmed on Thursday.

According to police sources, law enforcement agencies acted swiftly to apprehend both suspects. The facilitator had been residing in Rawalpindi for the past month, while the handler was detained in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. So far, a total of five individuals have been taken into custody in connection with the case.

Sources revealed that both the suicide bomber and the facilitator had conducted multiple reconnaissance visits to the Judicial Complex prior to the attack to finalize the plan. The arrested suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

The facilitator was reportedly captured from the Dhoke Paracha area and had also been conducting surveillance of key sites in Rawalpindi Cantonment. Officials said the arrests of both the facilitator and handler were made within 40 hours of the incident.

Earlier, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry stated that the suicide bomber involved in the recent Islamabad court attack was of Afghan origin. Initial investigations indicated that the attacker neither understood any Pakistani language nor recognized the country’s currency notes.

The minister further disclosed that after entering Islamabad, the suicide bomber travelled on several motorcycles and reportedly faced difficulty paying fares in Pakistani currency.

The recent suicide bombing outside the Islamabad Judicial Complex claimed 12 lives and left 28 others injured. Following the attack, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Rawalpindi launched an intensive operation and successfully traced the culprits within 40 hours, apprehending the extremist facilitators linked to foreign elements.

Public and security circles have hailed CTD Rawalpindi’s swift and successful operation as a decisive step toward ensuring peace and stability in the country.
