Islamabad, November 25, 2025: The Pakistan Navy on Tuesday successfully conducted a test of an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship ballistic missile, the military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed.
According to the ISPR, the missile is capable of engaging both sea and land targets with high precision, featuring advanced guidance systems and manoeuvrability.
“The flight test was witnessed by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, senior scientists, and engineers,” the ISPR statement read.
The successful launch was hailed as a testimony to Pakistan’s technological prowess and the Navy’s commitment to safeguard national interests. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chairman Joint Chiefs General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and other service chiefs congratulated the units and scientists involved.
The ISPR emphasized that the missile is equipped with state-of-the-art guidance systems and advanced manoeuvrability features, capable of high-precision strikes and evading enemy missile defence systems.
This test follows the Pakistan Army’s successful training launch of the indigenously-produced Fatah-4 cruise missile on September 30, which has a range of 750 kilometres and incorporates advanced avionics and terrain-hugging features.
The launches reflect Pakistan’s ongoing focus on self-reliant defence capabilities and strengthening strategic deterrence.
