Field Marshal Asim Munir calls on Indonesian President

Rawalpindi, December 9, 2025: Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, on Tuesday called on President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation, according to a news release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen the existing ties between the armed forces of the two brotherly countries.

President Prabowo Subianto lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability.

Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated that Pakistan highly values its longstanding relations with Indonesia and remains committed to expanding defence collaboration, particularly in the areas of training, counter-terrorism and capacity building, the ISPR said.
