Lahore, December 10, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to nine national cricketers, including Ihsanullah and Haider Ali, allowing them to participate in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025–26.
The upcoming edition of the BPL is scheduled to take place from December 26 to January 23, during which a total of 15 Pakistani cricketers have been signed by various franchises.
Out of these, 11 players, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Amir, Abrar Ahmed, Usman Khan, Khawaja Nafay, Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf, Sufiyan Muqeem, Akif Javed, Mohammad Nawaz and Sahibzada Farhan, were directly contracted by franchises.
Meanwhile, four players, Ihsanullah, Haider Ali, Mohammad Akhlaq and Jahandad Khan, were picked during the players’ auction held in Dhaka on November 30. Ihsanullah and Haider Ali were selected by Noakhali Express in Category C of foreign players, while Jahandad Khan was signed by Durbar Rajshahi in the same category for USD 20,000. Mohammad Akhlaq, on the other hand, was picked by Rangpur Riders in Category D for USD 10,000.
The PCB has approved NOCs for nine players to take part in the league until January 23. The players granted NOCs are Mohammad Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Ihsanullah, Haider Ali, Abrar Ahmed, Khawaja Nafay, Salman Irshad, Faheem Ashraf and Sahibzada Farhan.
The BPL 2025–26 will feature five teams, reduced from seven in the previous season. Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders remain unchanged from the 2024–25 edition, while franchises from Chattogram, Rajshahi and Sylhet have undergone ownership changes.
As a result, Chittagong Kings, Durbar Rajshahi and Sylhet Strikers have exited the league and have been replaced by newly rebranded teams, Chattogram Royals, Rajshahi Warriors and Sylhet Titans.
Defending champions Fortune Barishal and Khulna Tigers will not participate in this season of the tournament.
