Quetta, December 13,2025: Pakistani stuntman Sultan Muhammad Golden delivered a rare double milestone in motorsports on Saturday by setting two world records during a high-profile stunt-driving event in Quetta, Balochistan.

The feats included the fastest one-mile drive in reverse and the longest reverse ramp jump ever recorded, drawing large crowds and senior government officials to the event. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, the provincial governor, along with civil and military officials, attended the show, making it one of the most prominent stunt-driving events held in Pakistan in recent years.

Golden completed a one-mile drive in reverse in just 57 seconds, setting a new global benchmark. The previous Guinness World Record stood at 1 minute and 15.18 seconds, achieved in June 2022 by American stuntman Scot Burner at the NCM Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Burner had set the record in a 2017 Corvette, surpassing an earlier mark of 97.02 seconds. Golden’s performance reduced the time by a significant margin of 18 seconds.

Shortly afterwards, Golden returned to the track to attempt a second record, successfully executing a reverse ramp jump measuring 121.72 feet. The previous record for the longest reverse ramp jump stood at 89 feet and 3.25 inches, which was comfortably surpassed during the Quetta performance, drawing loud applause from spectators and organisers.

A native of Pishin near Quetta, Sultan Golden is widely recognised for his expertise in motorcar and motorcycle stunts. In 1987, he set a world record by jumping 249 feet over 22 cars, breaking a US-held record of 246 feet. He later introduced reverse motorcar jumping and previously set a record by clearing 15 cars over a distance of 150 feet.

While the latest achievements have generated widespread attention, official confirmation from Guinness World Records is still awaited, with the records yet to be formally updated on the organisation’s platforms.
