Romanian Embassy hosts festive Christmas concert in Islamabad

Islamabad, December 19, 2025: The Embassy of Romania in Islamabad celebrated the spirit of the holiday season with a special Christmas concert, marking the conclusion of the Romanian Cultural Days in Pakistan. Held at Saint Thomas Church, the event brought together culture, music, and community in a warm and festive atmosphere.

Renowned Romanian soprano Georgiana Costea-Glugă, accompanied by pianist Sheeza Maqsood, delighted the audience with a selection of traditional Romanian carols, including “Moș Crăciun cu plete dalbe” and “O, ce veste minunată”, alongside international favorites such as Silent Night. Diplomats, members of the Romanian community, friends of Romania, and music enthusiasts enjoyed the enchanting performances, which highlighted the power of culture and music to foster friendship and shared values. The concert concluded the Romanian Cultural Days in Pakistan on a note of harmony, tradition, and festive goodwill.
