Islamabad, December 19, 2025: Pakistan strongly condemned a terrorist attack carried out by Khwarij militants of the Kharji Gul Bahadur Group on a military camp in North Waziristan, which claimed the lives of four Pakistani soldiers. In response, the Afghan Deputy Head of Mission was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to convey Pakistan’s grave concerns.

During the meeting, Pakistan highlighted the continued support and facilitation provided by the Afghan Taliban regime to the FAK/TTP, which enables terrorist attacks against Pakistan’s military and civilian population along the Pak-Afghan border and adjacent areas. Officials emphasized that Afghanistan’s permissive environment for these groups contradicts its international obligations and commitments to Pakistan not to allow its territory to be used against other countries.

Pakistan demanded a full investigation into the attack and urged the Afghan Taliban regime to take immediate, concrete, and verifiable action against all terror groups operating from Afghan soil, including their leadership. Islamabad also warned that it reserves the right to defend its sovereignty and citizens and will take all necessary measures to respond to terrorism originating from Afghanistan.
