Rawalpindi, October 24, 2024- Former first lady and wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, has been released from Adiala Jail following her bail from Special Court.

Bushra Bibi left for her home after the release from gate number 5 of Adiala Jail. Additional security was deployed outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, and after receiving the release order of Bushra Bibi, the jail administration completed the legal process and released her.

Earlier, PTI lawyers had told the media that Bushra Bibi’s release order had been issued and that they were heading to Adiala Jail to receive her.

It may be mentioned here that yesterday, the release order for Bushra Bibi’s bail in the Toshakhana II case could not be issued due to the absence of Senior Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand.

Bushra Bibi spent nine months in jail after she was sentenced to 14 years in prison on January 31 this year in the Toshakhana case. Bushra Bibi had voluntarily surrendered herself at the jail after the verdict by the court.
