Islamabad, December 28, 2025: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday received a telephone call from Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, during which the two leaders discussed regional developments and bilateral cooperation.
During the conversation, the DPM/FM reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and strongly condemned any actions aimed at undermining it.
The Somali foreign minister expressed gratitude to Pakistan for standing by Somalia and for its continued and sustained support. He also sought Pakistan’s assistance in raising Somalia’s concerns at the United Nations Security Council.
Senator Ishaq Dar assured his Somali counterpart of Pakistan’s full support for Somalia at the United Nations and other multilateral fora, reiterating Islamabad’s commitment to peace, stability, and respect for international law.
