Islamabad, December 31, 2025: In a vibrant display of diplomacy and brotherhood, the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), in collaboration with the Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC) UAE, jointly celebrated the 57th National Day of the United Arab Emirates at the ICCI premises.

The event marked a significant milestone in Pakistan–UAE relations and was distinguished by the initiative of Engr. Muhammad Javed, who became the first individual to initiate and organise celebrations of the UAE National Day within these prestigious business councils in Islamabad.

Addressing the gathering, ICCI President Sardar Tahir Mehmood extended heartfelt congratulations to the UAE leadership and people. He described the Pakistan–UAE relationship as “everlasting and unparalleled,” rooted in mutual trust, brotherhood and shared economic interests. He also lauded the UAE’s continued support for Pakistan through investment and humanitarian assistance, reaffirming ICCI’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral trade and commercial ties.

The celebration was spearheaded by Engr. Muhammad Javed, Coordinator for Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah (PBPC UAE), whose initiative to bring the National Day festivities to Islamabad’s business community was widely hailed as a historic first. Speakers noted that the move helped bridge the gap between overseas Pakistani professionals and domestic business and trade platforms.

Vice President ICCI Irfan Chaudhry, in his remarks, said Pakistan–UAE relations are increasingly translating into tangible economic opportunities. He emphasized that joint platforms such as ICCI and PBPC play a vital role in promoting bilateral trade, supporting small and medium enterprises, and fostering institutional collaboration between the two countries.

Former ICCI President Mohammad Ejaz Abbasi and other speakers highlighted that Pakistan–UAE cooperation is entering a new phase focused on mutual economic growth, expanded investment and regional stability. The PBPC UAE delegation expressed gratitude to the Islamabad business community for the warm reception, terming the celebration the beginning of a new chapter in cross-border professional and economic collaboration.

The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, with participants joining in to mark the occasion, providing a memorable finale to the successful gathering.

Prominent attendees included DIG Ali Mohsin Naqvi, CEO BEE Energy Enterprise Muhammad Osama, Chairman Pakistan Qaumi Yekjehti Council Naseem Ahmed Usmani, Sheikh Sajid, ICCI executive members Raja Mohammad Naveed Satti and Malik Mohsin Khalid, Vice Chairman Industrial Area Association Mirza Mohammad Ali, ICCI member Israr-ul-Haq Mashwani, and other business and community representatives.
