Beijing, January 4, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty on Sunday, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and bilateral relations.

According to an official statement, both foreign ministers exchanged views on key regional developments and underscored the importance of resolving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy. They appreciated the constructive efforts being undertaken by various parties to promote peace and stability in the region.

During the call, Senator Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Egypt in all areas of mutual interest, including political engagement, trade, and people-to-people contacts. He emphasized the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement to advance shared objectives and deepen longstanding ties between the two countries.

The Egyptian foreign minister reciprocated the sentiments, highlighting the traditionally cordial relations between Pakistan and Egypt and expressing interest in expanding cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels.
