Beijing, January 5, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday met a delegation from China Minmetals Corporation (MCC), led by its Vice President Mr. Xu Jiqing, to discuss the company’s ongoing and future projects in Pakistan.

According to official sources, the meeting focused on reviewing progress on existing initiatives and exploring new avenues for cooperation in Pakistan’s mining and minerals sector. Both sides described the discussions as productive and forward-looking.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan’s strong support for China Minmetals Corporation in advancing mining investments and promoting value-added industrial development in the country.
