Islamabad, January 8,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, to review bilateral relations and discuss evolving international developments.

According to official sources, the two ministers exchanged views on ongoing Pakistan–Türkiye engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

They also welcomed the scheduling of the Extraordinary Session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers, set to be held on January 10, 2026, in Jeddah, to deliberate on key regional and global issues.
