Beijing, January 8, 2026: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday visited the Beijing Police College, where he inspected advanced training facilities and observed demonstrations showcasing modern policing techniques, including suspect apprehension using vehicles.

During the visit, the Interior Minister praised the professional skills and training standards of the Beijing Police, particularly commending the performance of the special vehicle squad. He said he was highly impressed by their capabilities and top-class training.

Announcing a new initiative, Mohsin Naqvi stated that all Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) from Pakistan’s National Police Academy will undergo a one-month training program at the Beijing Police College. The visit marks the beginning of enhanced cooperation between the National Police Academy and its Chinese counterpart, with Pakistani police officers set to receive modern, technology-driven professional training. An agreement formalizing this collaboration is expected to be signed soon.

The Interior Minister also operated an advanced driving simulator and received a briefing on technology-based training tools for handling protests, violent incidents, and other forms of crime. Wu Wei, President of the Beijing Police College, highlighted the institution’s focus on academic education, professional training, and AI-based instruction, noting that the college comprises 12 faculties with over 400 faculty members, half of whom hold PhDs.

The visit was attended by Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha, Director General National Police Academy Muhammad Idrees, Director General National Cyber Crimes Investigation Syed Khurram Ali, IG Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi, and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
