Islamabad, October 25,2024- NEPRA has increased the electricity tariff for Karachi by an additional 3 rupees and 3 paisas per unit.

This is a major blow to the residents of Karachi, who are already suffering from inflation. This increase is due to the monthly fuel price adjustment for July 2024.

NEPRA has issued a notification for the increase in electricity rates for K-Electric consumers, stating that the additional charges will be collected in the December 2024 bills. K-Electric had requested an increase of 3.09 rupees per unit in the monthly adjustment for July.
