Islamabad, January 20,2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will lead a high level Pakistani delegation to the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos Klosters, Switzerland, scheduled from 20 to 22 January 2026. The delegation will include Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with other senior officials.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will take part in a series of substantive engagements. A key highlight of his programme is participation in the World Economic Forum’s Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders session titled “Restoring a Spirit of Dialogue in a Divided World,” where global leaders are expected to discuss pathways for cooperation amid growing international polarization.
The Prime Minister will also host and chair a Pakistan specific high level Business Roundtable, bringing together leading international corporate figures to discuss investment prospects, economic reforms, and opportunities for partnership in Pakistan.
On the sidelines of the forum, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to hold interactions with several world leaders and prominent business executives. These engagements will focus on strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and sustainable development.
Articulating Pakistan’s perspective on global and regional peace, development challenges, and economic priorities will form a central part of the Prime Minister’s messaging. He is also expected to highlight the government’s vision, policy direction, and recent achievements aimed at economic stability, growth, and attracting foreign investment.
The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting is a major global platform that brings together political leaders, business executives, heads of international organizations, and civil society representatives. The forum provides an opportunity to deliberate on pressing geopolitical, economic, social, and environmental issues shaping the world today.
