Islamabad, January 28, 2026: Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev, along with Russian Trade Representative Denis Nevzorov, met with Hinan Humayun and Zohair Baber from the executive team of Pakistani surgical instrument manufacturer Elmed Ltd. to explore avenues for bilateral business cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides discussed prospects for expanding trade ties, particularly the supply of Pakistani-manufactured surgical instruments and other goods to the Russian market. The discussions were followed by a tour of Elmed’s production facilities, where the delegation was briefed on manufacturing processes, quality standards and export capacity.
Ambassador Khorev lauded Pakistan’s surgical instruments industry, stating that Pakistani products are regarded among the best in the world. He described the sector as a key component of Pakistan’s “soft power,” noting its potential to further strengthen economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Russia.
The visit highlighted growing interest in deepening industrial and commercial cooperation between the two countries, with both sides expressing optimism about expanding mutually beneficial trade in the manufacturing sector.
