Peshawar, February 2, 2026: The Embassy of Japan in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association (PJCA), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, organized an exhibition of Japanese Calendars 2026 at Gandhara University, Peshawar.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Mrs. Roeeda Kabir, President of the Pakistan-Japan Cultural Association, KPK. The event was attended by Prof. Ejaz Hassan Khan, Vice Chancellor of Gandhara University, Mr. Ghulam Noorani Sethi, Dr. Ismail Qamar, Secretary General PJCA, along with faculty, staff, and students of Gandhara University.
The Japanese Calendars Exhibition is an annual cultural initiative by the Embassy of Japan in Pakistan. This year, around 80 calendars were showcased with the cooperation of the Japan Calendars Association, Tokyo. The calendars highlighted Japan’s traditional and contemporary arts, sports, automobiles, nature, cultural heritage, and architecture. The exhibition provided visitors a glimpse into Japan’s socio-cultural evolution over centuries, while also demonstrating the aesthetic and technological excellence of Japanese printing.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mrs. Kabir expressed her delight at the diversity of calendars on display and conveyed her hope that Pakistan-Japan friendship would continue to flourish across all spheres of life.
