ECNEC approves four major development projects worth over Rs. 240 billion

Islamabad, February 2, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar chaired a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Monday, during which four major development projects worth over Rs. 240 billion were approved.

The approved projects include expansion of AFIC-NIHD Rawalpindi, Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Programme, Karachi Yellow Line BRT Corridor and Harpo Hydropower Project (34.5 MW) in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The meeting was attended by the Finance Minister, Minister for Planning, Minister for Planning Sindh, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Planning, Secretary Defense, Secretary Water Resources, and senior officials from the Economic Affairs Division (EAD), Finance Ministry, NAVTTC, and other relevant departments.
