Islamabad, February 4, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday held a telephonic conversation with Commonwealth Secretary-General Shirley Botchway to discuss avenues for enhancing cooperation.
During the discussion, Dar highlighted Pakistan’s role as a founding member of the Commonwealth and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to democracy, good governance, development, and multilateral cooperation.
Both leaders explored ways to further strengthen collaboration across priority areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on boosting intra-Commonwealth cooperation.
