Karachi, February 6, 2026: Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Sialkot Stallionz on Friday revealed their player signings ahead of the landmark 11th edition of the tournament, scheduled from March 26 to May 3.
The franchise confirmed four retentions ahead of the PSL player auction on February 11. Mohammad Nawaz, Salman Mirza, Ahmed Daniyal, and Saad Masood were retained by the Stallionz.
- Mohammad Nawaz: Platinum category – PKR 61.6 million
- Salman Mirza: Diamond category – PKR 39.2 million
- Ahmed Daniyal: Gold category – PKR 22.4 million
- Saad Masood: Emerging category – PKR 8.4 million
Earlier, the Stallionz made a marquee signing by bringing in former Australia captain Steve Smith, one of the biggest direct acquisitions ahead of the season. The right-handed batter, known for his T20 prowess, has featured in leagues including the Big Bash League (BBL), The Hundred, Indian Premier League (IPL), Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), and Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
On January 29, Sialkot Stallionz also appointed former Australian wicketkeeper-batter Tim Paine as their head coach. Paine has represented Australia in 35 Tests and 35 ODIs and has captained the national Test side, bringing extensive leadership and coaching experience to the franchise.
Owned by OZ Developers, led by Hamza Majeed, Sialkot Stallionz was acquired during a high-profile auction at the Jinnah Convention Centre on January 8. The franchise secured the team with a bid of Rs 1.85 billion, slightly higher than FKS Group, which acquired the first new franchise at Rs 1.75 billion.
The inclusion of two new teams for PSL 11 expands the league to eight franchises, marking a historic milestone. Multan Sultans were the league’s first expansion team in season three, increasing the number of teams from five to six.
The Stallionz aim to leverage their blend of retained talent and international experience to make a strong impact in the upcoming season.
