Multan, February 21, 2026: The 48th death anniversary of veteran Pakistan Movement leader and former federal minister Makhdoom Syed Alamdar Hussain Gilani was observed with reverence at Darbar Musa Pak Shaheed in Multan, where a Mehfil-e-Hamd-o-Naat was organized to pay tribute to his services.
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, son of the late leader, attended the ceremony and thanked the scholars, elders, and guests for participating in the commemorative gathering. He highlighted his father’s invaluable contributions to the Pakistan Movement and the nation-building process.
He said Makhdoom Syed Alamdar Hussain Gilani served as a Member of Pakistan’s Constituent Assembly and, after independence, held the portfolios of Minister for Health and Local Government. Religious scholar Allama Farooq Khan Saeedi spoke about his struggle and contributions, while the Sajjadah Nasheen of Darbar Musa Pak Shaheed, Makhdoom Syed Abul Hassan Gilani, offered a special collective prayer.
