Senate’s Business Advisory Committee sets agenda for 359th session, likely to run till March 3

Islamabad, February 23, 2026: The House Business Advisory Committee (HBAC) of the Senate of Pakistan met on Monday at the Parliament House to deliberate on the legislative agenda for the 359th session of the Upper House.

The meeting was presided over by Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, who led detailed discussions on the legislative business scheduled to be taken up during the session.

In addition to legislative matters, the committee decided that the session would also include discussions on key national and international issues. The HBAC noted that the current session of the Senate is likely to continue until March 3, 2026.

The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition Raja Nasir Abbas, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Sherry Rehman, Manzoor Ahmad, Haji Hidayatullah Khan, Kamran Murtaza, Amir Walli ud Din Chishti, and Kamil Ali Khan.

Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry also attended the meeting, along with Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider.

During the meeting, the Secretary Senate briefed the committee on the proposed legislative business to be transacted during the ongoing session.
