PM Shehbaz condemns Gulf attacks, assures UAE of Pakistan’s support

Lahore, February 28, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation this evening with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.

The Prime Minister strongly condemned the serious regional escalation following today’s Israeli attack on Iran and the subsequent missile strikes on the UAE, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai, as well as other Gulf countries. He also expressed sorrow over the death of a Pakistani national in the Abu Dhabi attack.

Shehbaz Sharif assured the UAE leadership of Pakistan’s full solidarity and support during the crisis, emphasizing that Pakistan would always stand with its Emirati brothers and sisters, in line with the longstanding fraternal bonds between the two nations.
