Dubai, March 4, 2026: Pakistan’s opening batter Sahibzada Farhan is closing in on the top spot in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 rankings, currently held by India’s Abhishek Sharma, following a series of standout performances.
Farhan, the only batter in the tournament to score two centuries in a single T20 World Cup edition, has climbed one position to second with 848 points. England’s Phil Salt has slipped to third.
Several Pakistani players saw a slight decline in the latest standings:
- Saim Ayub: 35th (down one place)
- Babar Azam: 37th (down one place)
- T20I captain Salman Ali Agha: 41st (down three places)
Opening batter Fakhar Zaman made a major leap, moving 17 places to 71st after a brilliant 84-run innings against Sri Lanka in the final Super Eights match, earning 481 points.
In T20I bowlers’ standings, Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed climbed two spots to third with 736 points, closing in on India’s Varun Chakaravarthy at the top, while Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan remains second.
