Ishaq Dar, Jordanian FM discuss regional situation, stress need for de-escalation

Islamabad, March 8, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, to discuss the evolving regional situation.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both leaders expressed deep concern over the current developments in the region.

During the discussion, Dar emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation and stressed that dialogue and diplomacy remain essential for ensuring peace and stability in the region and beyond.

The two foreign ministers also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement to address regional challenges through peaceful means.
