Islamabad, March 13,2026: Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gillani has extended warm felicitations to the people of Nepal and the leadership of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) following the party’s success in the recent parliamentary elections.

In his message, Gillani said the victory of the RSP reflects the trust and confidence of the Nepalese people in democratic values and a new generation of leadership committed to transparency, accountability, and public service.

He noted that Balendra Shah, as a young leader, has inspired many citizens through his reform-oriented approach, innovative governance style, and dedication to addressing public issues, particularly through his role in local governance and urban development.

The Senate chairman observed that the emergence of young leadership in democratic politics is an encouraging sign for strengthening institutions and ensuring responsive governance. He expressed hope that under Balendra Shah’s leadership, the RSP would contribute positively to Nepal’s democratic consolidation, socio-economic progress, and institutional development.

Highlighting the cordial relations between Pakistan and Nepal, Gillani said the two countries enjoy longstanding friendly ties based on mutual respect, shared regional interests, and cooperation in regional and multilateral forums.

He also expressed confidence that parliamentary and people-to-people contacts between the two nations will continue to expand in the coming years.

The chairman conveyed his best wishes for the prosperity of the people of Nepal and for the continued strengthening of democratic governance in the country.
