Moscow, March 20, 2026: Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended heartfelt greetings to Muslims across Russia on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.

In his message, President Putin said the festival has, for centuries, embodied believers’ aspirations for moral excellence, mercy, and compassion, guiding them toward the enduring values of Islam. He noted that Muslims in Russia continue to honor the rich historical and spiritual traditions of their ancestors, celebrating the occasion with devotion in their communities and families.

He highlighted that during Ramadan, it has become a cherished tradition to organize large-scale charitable, cultural, educational, and children’s events, reflecting the spirit of generosity and social responsibility.

The Russian president also acknowledged the role of Muslim organizations in strengthening family values and contributing to the upbringing of youth. He appreciated their engagement in constructive dialogue with state and public institutions, as well as their continued efforts in patriotic, educational, and humanitarian initiatives.

Putin expressed special gratitude to Muslim servicemen participating in efforts for the “freedom and independence” of Russia, along with those supporting the families of those involved.

He concluded his message by wishing Muslims good health, success, and continued well-being.
