Lahore, March 20, 2026: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Friday, exchanging greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
During the cordial interaction, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended his warm felicitations to the Malaysian leadership, government, and people. The greetings were reciprocated by Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim with equal warmth and goodwill.
Both leaders offered prayers for peace and harmony across the Muslim Ummah and discussed the ongoing hostilities in Iran and the Gulf region. They underscored the need for de-escalation and agreed to continue working together to advance efforts for regional peace.
Expressing satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral relations, the two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal ties between Pakistan and Malaysia.
