Lahore, November 4, 2024 – Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Punjab, Ramesh Singh Arora, has announced that this year’s celebrations for Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday will be made historic. Arora stated that the Punjab Chief Minister has increased the budget for the Minority Affairs Department by 200%.

In his statement, Arora noted that around 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India will visit Pakistan for the event, with comprehensive security and logistical arrangements being ensured.

It is noteworthy that followers of Baba Guru Nanak celebrate his birthday annually on November 12, with the main festivities held in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan. Sikh devotees gather there to pay homage to their revered spiritual leader.
