Lisbon, March 24, 2026: Ahead of formally assuming his diplomatic responsibilities in Pakistan and Afghanistan, Portugal’s Ambassador-designate, Paulo Domingues, has held a series of high-level meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lisbon.

During his consultations, Ambassador Domingues met with Portugal’s Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel, along with senior officials including Secretaries of State, the Secretary-General, and representatives of key national institutions.

The discussions focused on Portugal’s foreign policy priorities, coordination within the European framework, development cooperation strategies, and engagement with Portuguese communities living abroad.
