Pakistan, Saudi Arabia stress de-escalation, strengthen bilateral ties

Islamabad, March 29, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud during the latter’s visit to Pakistan for consultations on regional de-escalation efforts.

According to official sources, the two leaders engaged in in-depth discussions on the evolving regional situation, underscoring the urgent need for dialogue, restraint, and coordinated diplomatic efforts to promote peace and stability.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening longstanding Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations, while agreeing to continue close coordination on regional and international issues.

The visit is part of a broader series of high-level engagements taking place in Islamabad, as Pakistan steps up diplomatic efforts to facilitate dialogue and reduce tensions amid the ongoing regional crisis.
