Lahore, April 2, 2026: Blistering half-centuries from Daryl Mitchell and Sam Billings powered RawalPindiz to a formidable total against Karachi Kings in the 10th match of Pakistan Super League Season 11 at Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday.

Karachi Kings skipper David Warner’s decision to field first proved costly as the tournament debutants piled up an imposing 197/6 in their allotted 20 overs, thanks largely to a commanding fourth-wicket partnership between Mitchell and Billings.

RawalPindiz endured an early setback when captain Mohammad Rizwan was dismissed for 21 by Hasan Ali in the third over, with the score at 28.

The situation worsened when Khushdil Shah struck twice in quick succession, removing Yasir Khan (8) and Kamran Ghulam (10), leaving the Pindiz struggling at 55/3 in 6.1 overs.

However, Mitchell and Billings then staged a remarkable recovery, adding 120 runs for the fourth wicket to wrest control of the innings. Both batters registered impressive half-centuries, shifting the momentum firmly in their side’s favour.

The dangerous stand was eventually broken in the 18th over when Hasan Ali dismissed Billings for a well-crafted 58 off 35 balls, which included eight fours and a six. Mitchell, who top-scored with 65 off 41 deliveries—featuring five fours and three sixes—was dismissed by Mir Hamza on the first ball of the penultimate over.

A quick cameo by Abdullah Fazal, who remained unbeaten on 17 off 8 balls, ensured RawalPindiz maintained their momentum in the closing stages, pushing the total close to the 200-mark.

For Karachi Kings, Hasan Ali was the standout performer with the ball, claiming 3 wickets for 24 runs in his four overs. Khushdil Shah picked up two wickets, while Mir Hamza chipped in with one.
