Islamabad, April 2,2026: Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, held a productive virtual meeting with Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates, to further strengthen bilateral economic ties.

The meeting was also attended by Rana Ihsaan Afzal, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Commerce.

Both ministers underscored the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and the UAE, with particular focus on enhancing trade facilitation and expanding market access for petroleum products and food commodities. Rana Ihsaan Afzal provided valuable insights on aligning these initiatives with Pakistan’s broader national trade priorities.

Minister Jam Kamal Khan expressed appreciation for the UAE’s continued support and acknowledged the role of partners such as DP World in strengthening trade connectivity. He noted that despite ongoing austerity measures, Pakistan remains committed to pursuing practical and business-friendly solutions.

Minister Al Zeyoudi reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to structured and sustained coordination, emphasizing the importance of institutional engagement in advancing mutual economic interests.

Both sides agreed that their respective technical teams will convene next week to finalize logistical frameworks, paving the way for further growth and diversification in bilateral trade.
