Chairman Senate attends prayer ceremony for daughter of Sherry Rehman

Islamabad, April 2, 2026: Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani attended a prayer ceremony at Pakistan Sweet Home for the departed soul of Marvi Khurshid Malik, daughter of Sherry Rehman, Parliamentary Leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party in the Senate.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of political leaders, parliamentarians, and social figures, including Deputy Speaker National Assembly Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Senator Azam Swati, Senator Zeeshan Khanzada, Senator Shahadat Awan, Senator Falak Naz, Senator Hidayatullah Khan, Senator Fozia Arshad, Senator Faisal Javed Khan, Member National Assembly Ali Qasim Gilani, senior PPP leader Khurshid Shah, former Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, and former minister Nazar Muhammad Gondal, among others.

During the ceremony, Fateha was offered for the departed soul. Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani expressed deep sorrow and said he shares the grief of Sherry Rehman and her family.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to grant patience and strength to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

A large number of children from Pakistan Sweet Home also attended the prayer gathering.
