Islamabad, April 4, 2026: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan spokesperson Tahir Andrabi has categorically rejected media reports attributed to “so-called official sources” regarding the ongoing regional conflict and Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts.

Responding to media queries, the spokesperson said that several reports circulating in the media, including on social media platforms, contain “false insinuations” and are “baseless and a figment of imagination.”

He clarified that any attribution of such claims to official government sources is incorrect, expressing concern that a recent media briefing held at the Foreign Office had been misrepresented with references to issues that were neither discussed nor implied.

“At a time of heightened regional sensitivity, diplomacy requires both discretion and responsibility,” the spokesperson stated, urging media organizations to exercise due diligence, avoid speculation, and rely solely on officially issued statements and verified media readouts for accurate information.

The Foreign Office reiterated the importance of responsible reporting amid evolving regional developments.
