Islamabad, April 13, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar received Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, where discussions focused on recent diplomatic developments following the Islamabad Talks.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional situation in the aftermath of the high-level dialogue process between the United States and Iran.
The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued commitment to supporting dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful resolution of disputes, emphasizing Islamabad’s role in facilitating constructive international engagement.
Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts, particularly its role in enabling direct engagement between Washington and Tehran during the recent talks. He acknowledged Pakistan’s contribution to promoting regional stability through dialogue-based initiatives.
Both sides also reviewed the longstanding bilateral relationship and reiterated their resolve to strengthen the Pakistan–China All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership, which continues to serve as a cornerstone of regional cooperation.
Officials noted that the meeting reflected the shared commitment of Islamabad and Beijing to sustained engagement on regional peace, connectivity, and strategic cooperation amid evolving geopolitical developments.
