Islamabad, April 16, 2026: Carlos Aragón Gil de la Serna, Ambassador of Spain to Pakistan, called on Khalid Mahmood, Chairman of the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI), to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation and intellectual engagement between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides underscored the growing momentum in Pakistan-Spain relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening diplomatic and institutional ties.

They emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration between think tanks through regular exchanges, joint research initiatives, and policy dialogues. Such engagements, they noted, would contribute to mutual understanding and promote cooperation in areas of shared interest.

The two dignitaries agreed that enhanced institutional linkages and sustained interaction between academic and research institutions could play a pivotal role in further consolidating Pakistan-Spain bilateral relations.
