Islamabad, April 16, 2026: Yusuf Sharifzoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Pakistan, called on Nabeel Munir, Special Secretary (United Nations) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to discuss avenues for strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

The meeting, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad, focused on key issues of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on collaboration within the framework of the United Nations.

Both sides underscored the significance of Tajikistan-Pakistan cooperation at the UN and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing coordination on international and regional issues. They noted that closer engagement at multilateral forums would contribute to promoting shared diplomatic objectives and global stability.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue and strengthened institutional linkages between the two countries to advance mutually beneficial partnerships.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two dignitaries expressed their readiness to continue constructive engagement and deepen cooperation across diplomatic platforms, particularly within the United Nations system.
