Islamabad, April 25, 2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday reiterated that Pakistan is actively facilitating dialogue between Iran and the United States to promote regional and global peace.
Chairing a high-level meeting to review the evolving regional situation, Dar emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and stability. He said Islamabad would continue playing a constructive role in advancing dialogue between the two sides.
The foreign minister also stressed that Pakistan’s official stance on the Iran-US facilitation process is reflected only through statements issued by authorized government sources.
He cautioned against relying on unnamed officials or unverified sources quoted in print or on social media, stating that such reports do not represent Pakistan’s official position.
Dar urged both print and electronic media to avoid speculative reporting and instead rely on verified, official communications regarding sensitive diplomatic developments.
