Karachi, April 26, 2026: Islamabad United won the toss and elected to field first against Multan Sultans in the high-stakes 40th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 at the National Bank Stadium on Sunday.

The two sides have faced each other 19 times in PSL history, with three-time champions Islamabad United holding a slight edge, having secured 10 wins compared to Sultans’ nine.

Their most recent encounter earlier in the ongoing PSL season saw Multan Sultans register a comfortable five-wicket victory with eight balls to spare.

Both teams head into the contest with similar momentum, having won three of their last five completed matches.

Multan Sultans currently occupy second place on the points table with 12 points from nine matches, while Islamabad United are close behind with 11 points from an equal number of games.

Although both sides have already qualified for the playoffs, the fixture carries added importance as the winner will secure a top-two finish and set up a Qualifier clash against table-toppers Peshawar Zalmi.
