Islamabad April 30,2026: Ambassador of Russia to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev met with Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi.
The two sides held an in-depth discussion on current issues related to the development of Russia-Pakistan cultural cooperation.
Ambassador Khorev noted the dynamic growth of humanitarian cooperation between Moscow and Islamabad, commending the support provided by Pakistan’s National Heritage and Culture Division in implementing Russian cultural initiatives.
He also briefed the Minister on new projects aimed at further expanding dialogue between the peoples of Russia and Pakistan.
In turn, Minister Khichi emphasized that, over the long history of bilateral relations, Russian culture and traditions have gained considerable popularity among Pakistani citizens.
He specifically highlighted that, in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s directive, Pakistan encourages friendly countries to organize events showcasing their national culture and traditions.
In this context, the parties agreed to consider holding reciprocal Russia-Pakistan cultural weeks next year, featuring musical ensembles, artists, writers, and other representatives of the creative community from both countries.
