Ishaq Dar reviews preparations for 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women

Islamabad, April 30,2026: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the 9th OIC Ministerial Conference on Women, scheduled to be hosted by Pakistan on July 12-13, 2026.

According to the Foreign Office, the deputy prime minister expressed satisfaction over the pace of preparations and directed all relevant ministries and departments to continue taking necessary measures to ensure a productive and successful conference.

The meeting reviewed organisational arrangements and coordination among various ministries involved in hosting the event.

Participants included federal ministers for law and justice and information technology, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, secretaries of the Cabinet and Human Rights divisions, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), as well as senior officials from the finance, interior and other concerned ministries.
