Islamabad, April 30,2026: The Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) held a meeting with a high-level delegation from the UK Home Office at FIA Headquarters in Islamabad to discuss enhanced cooperation in tackling organised and transnational crime.

The UK delegation included Gemma Wilson, First Secretary for Justice and Home Affairs, Shannon Duckworth, International Operations Liaison, and Oliver Patten, Second Secretary for Security and Justice.

According to an FIA statement, the meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, particularly strengthening collaboration in investigating organised criminal networks and addressing emerging cross-border crime challenges.

The FIA director general briefed the delegation on the agency’s strategic priorities, highlighting intelligence-led operations, disruption of organised criminal groups and enhancement of institutional response mechanisms.

He stressed the importance of greater international cooperation, timely information exchange and coordinated efforts to effectively combat increasingly sophisticated transnational criminal activities.

The UK delegation appreciated FIA’s operational initiatives and reaffirmed Britain’s commitment to supporting capacity building, intelligence sharing and technical cooperation with Pakistani authorities.

Both sides also discussed opportunities for strengthening joint investigations, improving information-sharing mechanisms and expanding training collaborations to enhance institutional coordination.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to further deepen cooperation between the FIA and the UK Home Office in combating transnational organised crime and strengthening law enforcement linkages.
