Islamabad / Makkah, May 5, 2026: The Hajj operation under the Government of Pakistan’s official scheme is progressing successfully, with more than 30% of intending pilgrims already arriving in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to official figures, 35,135 Pakistani pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia so far under the ongoing Hajj 2026 operation, marking steady progress in one of the largest annual religious movements managed by the state.

The operation is being overseen by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, with 137 flights having successfully transported pilgrims from Pakistan.

Of the total arrivals, 21,063 pilgrims are currently residing in Makkah, while 14,072 are accommodated in Medina.

To facilitate smooth logistics and support services, 948 welfare staff and Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj have been deployed across airports, transport hubs and accommodation facilities. The support teams include 598 Moavineen (helpers), 184 medical personnel and 158 Khuddam, working in round-the-clock shifts to assist pilgrims.

Coordinator Facilitation and Coordination (F&C) Nasir Aziz Khan said the teams remain on high alert 24/7 to ensure uninterrupted assistance for pilgrims performing religious duties.

According to the consolidated daily situation report, medical teams have provided outpatient services to 6,613 pilgrims at hospitals and dispensaries in Makkah and Medina. In addition, guidance services in Makkah have assisted 6,525 pilgrims in reaching their destinations safely.

In Medina, 15,462 pilgrims have completed their visit to Riaz-ul-Jannah, while the mission successfully resolved 2,815 out of 2,832 reported cases of lost luggage, ensuring timely return of belongings to pilgrims.

Officials said the welfare system was being further strengthened through additional staff deployment and logistical arrangements to support the increasing number of arrivals in the coming days.

Nasir Aziz Khan reaffirmed that the mission is utilizing all available resources to provide safe travel, accommodation and healthcare facilities, ensuring that pilgrims can focus fully on performing their religious obligations with peace of mind.
