PM Shehbaz expresses condolences over fireworks factory explosion in China

Islamabad, May 5, 2026: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over a tragic explosion at a fireworks factory in Liuyang, which resulted in loss of precious lives and left several people injured.

In his message, the prime minister conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan to the bereaved families and prayed for the swift recovery of those injured in the blast.

He extended Pakistan’s solidarity with the leadership and people of China during the difficult time, particularly with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for China in moments of tragedy and underscored the longstanding friendship and close cooperation between the two countries.
